The Beagle, also commonly known as the English Beagle, is a British breed. They are a very vocal dog that requires a lot of attention to stay happy. Overview

The first Cavalier King Charles Spaniels were originally recorded in paintings from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries as small dogs that were regularly found in the houses of royalty and in court. The largest supporter of these dogs used to be King Charles II, and he was usually seen with several of these dogs. During that time these dogs were used to attract fleas, and were also used as a way to cure stress ailments.

Temperament

Cavalier King Charles Spaniels have wonderful personalities, and is ideal dogs for families, couples and even single people. These dogs are inquisitive and playful by nature, but also like to just lie on their owner’s lap. The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel likes to spend time with humans, and requires a lot of attention on a daily basis. These dogs does not like to be left alone for extended periods of time, and might become destructive or even nervous when this happens. Corneal Dystrophy

These ulcerations can affect the dog’s vision and in severe cases can cause blindness. It’s important that you are aware of this condition so that you can be on the lookout because in some cases surgery can correct it.

Hip Dysplasia

Dysplasia is one of the boxer dog health problems that is shared with many other large breeds. This is a problem where the hip joints don’t form properly eventually causing a lot of pain and many times causing the hip joints to give out and not be able to support the dog. You should watch your dog closely for this because if you catch it very early, your Vet may be able to do something, unfortunately, it’s usually too late to do anything by the time symptoms appear.

Aortic Stenosis

This condition happens when the aorta becomes constricted lessening the blood flow throughout the body. This can cause your pet to seem to tire easily.

Boxer Cardiomyopathy

This is perhaps the most serious boxer health problem we will discuss in this article. Boxer cardiomyopathy causes your dog’s heart to beat in an odd way. It doesn’t really have any symptoms and can be fatal for your dog. Furthermore, it is often missed in a routine exam so if you have a boxer you should ask your vet to specifically look for this problem.

Hyperthyroidism

Hyperthyroidism effects are boxer just like it does people and symptoms can include stunted growth, basic lethargy, skin conditions and loss of hair. Luckily, just like with people, your vet can prescribe medication that will help your dog’s thyroid function normally and restore him to good health.

These are the main boxer dog health problems associated with the breed, however there are many health and care issues that affect dogs in general. Most people don’t know that the words Bichon Frise, are french and literally mean “Curly Lap Dog”. And that’s just exactly what a Bichon Frise is, a curly lap dog. If you are looking for a dog, and you are thinking about a Bichon Frise, make sure you do all the research on the care and training of these dogs before you make your decision. They are considered a “High Maintenance” dog.

Although they can make a great family dog, if you are a thrifty person, or your raising a family on a budget, you need to consider all of the costs involved in maintaining this breed. Unless you plan on grooming the dog yourself, taking this breed to a groomer can be very expensive. The tight, curly coat on these dogs require frequent trimming, brushing and bathing.
