Betty-Boop Tin Sign

I just found the perfect sign for my back door that every one comes in. This house is a non-smoking house hold. I’m always having to tell people not to smoke in the house.

What a greatway to tell them and not have to say a word about it. All I have to do is hang the Betty-Boop  tin sign in my entryway at the back door. She says it all for me and I get a great tin sign too. What way to let people know.

If you’re a big I Love Lucy fan you will remember this one. As kid I remember watching the reruns of this show. My mom called Lucy the crazy red head. She even had a I Love Lucy metal sign that she keep in her bedroom.
Well in this episode the Ricardo’s and Mertz’s went to California. They drove all way from New York City to Los Angles California. This took them weeks to drive all the way there. It seems like only yesterday that we would sit in front of TV and watch I love Lucy Show.

License Plate Metal Signs

Well I know I ask for people to write in to the blog and help me pick out the Valentine day gift for my husband Bill. It seems no one is interested in helping me with this particular problem! So I happen to be looking around the internet and was looking for things for my husband business, when I found the neatest thing for him.

I didn’t realize they still made front nostalgic license plate. I have seen custom license plate fronts. I have told you what Coca-Cola fan he is. Well I have found a place that has the old Coca-Cola license plates. Know I have another one which one to choose? I was hopping maybe my blog readers would help decide between the three that I have narrowed it down too. Lets here from you and tell me which one you would pick for him!!!!!

Coca-Cola Signs & Tins

The registered trademark of this multinational soft drink firm represents arguably the most widely recognized consumer product on the face of the earth.

From “The Pause That Refreshes” to “The Real Thing,” the company’s advertising slogans have become as much a part of Americana as has our visual perception of the fat and jolly Santa Claus first drawn by the artist Haddon Sundblom for a Coca-Cola advertisement that appeared in 1931.

As the company expanded its business to global markets, particularly after World War II, many people in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America have come to associate the taste of this carbonated cola drink with American culture.

Cartersville is home to the first outdoor painted Coca-Cola Sgn, originally painted in 1894.

Coca Cola Signs - Here we offer the finest in nostalgic signs made from aluminum, tin, wood, and glass. CocaCola has attracted some of the top artists and illustrators for their advertisements who has created timeless Coke images of refreshment we know and love. Metal signs are made to last for years. Don’t miss your favorite Coke ads on trays, thermometers, tin signs, wooden signs, art glass panels and vintage signs from the past.

“I gave this sign to a relative as a birthday gift earlier this year. The person

who received it greatly appreciated it and said they would probably have to

hide it from a neighbor to keep their hands off it. This sign is definitely a

sought after collectible auto tin sign, and is made in the USA.”

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Memoirs Are A Reassuring Sign Of The Past

posted by SignMeOn @ 18:14 PM

Metal signs are definitely an upgrade from posters.  They are firmer and more durable than the typical paper or cardboard announcement.  So if you’re thinking of adding a few signs to your walls, stick to the metal variety.  They look impressive and come in a myriad of designs that charm crowds and add ambiance to a place.  Unlike posters too, tin signs need no framing or casing to look better, last longer, and resist wrinkling and moisture.

Older people and fans of earlier decades will love vintage tin signs. These metal facsimiles of famous trademarks, emblems, personalities, automobiles, and other objects are refreshing sights and aid memoire in today’s technology-driven and ultra modern world.  They also serve as historic trivia to the uninitiated and unaware, and to most of the younger generation.  When you get your tin sign, by all means put it in a prominent spot for all to see.  But make sure too that you know the story behind the picture.
